The Great British Baking Parody Musical

Emily was part of the Original Zoom Cast of the new musical from Holly Barber and Lee Ehmke, "The Great British Baking Parody." She played Chai Honey, the archetypical Artsy One baker. Five contestants on The Great British Baking Show race the clock to complete their showstopper cakes in time for the judges, Paul and Mary. Which contestant will win star baker, which contestant will go home, and which contestants will move on to the semi-finals? Watch now on YouTube!

Vocal Ease Benefit Gala Performance

Emily was privileged to perform at the Vocal Ease Benefit Gala at Feinstein's/54 Below in New York City. For twenty years, the nonprofit Vocal Ease has been providing professional heartfelt cabaret-style shows for thousands of New York City senior citizens. Tony Award-winning Broadway star Beth Leavel (The Prom, The Drowsy Chaperone, Baby It's You, 42nd Street, Crazy for You, etc.) hosted the benefit with a cast of gifted performers singing favorite standards, pop, and musical theatre songs.

Guest Teaching and McVay Performing Arts Center Grand Opening at Principia College

Emily was beyond excited to attend the Opening Night Gala of the new McVey Performing Arts Center at Principia College. It's a dream come true for her alma mater! She was also a guest teacher at Principia College and its sister school, The Principia Upper School for several days following the Grand Opening.

It's Just a Number with Bobbie Horowitz

Emily was honored to sing in MAC Award-winner Bobbie Horowitz's long-running, MAC Award-nominated show, "It's Just a Number" at the renowned Don't Tell Mama cabaret club in NYC, in which she "honors someone over the age of 50 who's created something new and 'fab' in their life." She was joined by Matthew Martin Ward at the piano, along with a host of other great singers, honoring fellow performers Glen Charlow, Austin Pendleton, and Margo Brown.

High Ridge House Annual Meeting

Emily sang at the High Ridge House nursing home for their annual meeting in Riverdale, New York, the theme of which was "Love's Comforting Angels."

Emily brought back her debut solo show, "Uncharted," for one last night at Don't Tell Mama in midtown Manhattan. Featuring direction by Stearns Matthew and musical direction by Tracy Stark, with arrangements by Jeff Cubeta, the evening will featured bassist Brian Ward and drummer David Silliman.

"People You Should Know" at Urban Stages' Winter Rhythms Festival

Emily performed as one of the "People You Should Know" in Sue Matsuki's eponymous show for the Winter Rhythms series at Urban Stages this December at 7 pm, joining other wonderful singers such as Lynda Rodolitz, Katie McGrath, Mary Lahti, and Zach Wobensmith, among others.

Teaching at Principia

Emily was delighted to return to The Principia School and Principia College for several days over the Columbus Day weekend to work once again with high school and college students in musical theatre performance classes and to discuss working in show business professionally.

Emily was a featured panelist at the "Cabaret 101: Getting Started" seminar at the 2018 "MAC-to-School" cabaret workshop weekend in NYC. She spoke alongside Sydney Myer, Sue Matsuki, Kristoffer Lowe, Lisa Yaeger, and Jeff Cubeta. She also performed in KT Sullivan's masterclass.

2017 MetroStar Talent Challenge winner Emily Ellet brought back her NYC debut show, "Uncharted," exploring new beginnings, old habits, and the uncharted territory outside one's comfort zone. Directed by MAC award-winner Stearns Matthews with musical direction by Bistro award-winner Jeff Cubeta, the updated show included musical theatre and pop classics from Jerry Herman to Sara Bareilles.

Manhattan Wind Ensemble Winter Concert

Emily played percussion with the Manhattan Wind Ensemble, a community concert band of musicians from the Tri-State area. The program,titled "International Relations," included music by Gershwin, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Grainger, and more, and featured a woodwind quartet from the West Point Band.
NYC Cabaret Debut - "Uncharted"

Ellet's NYC cabaret debut “Uncharted” explored new beginnings, old habits, and the uncharted territory outside one's comfort zone, in a four-night run at NYC's historic Don't Tell Mama.
Directed by MAC and Bistro Award winner Stearns Matthews, with musical direction by Bistro Award winner Jeff Cubeta, the show featured musical theatre, jazz, and pop favorites from Jerry Herman to Sara Bareilles, including what BroadwayWorld called her “dazzlingly original interpretation” of the 80s disco anthem “It’s Raining Men,” which clinched her win in the Metropolitan Room’s 2017 MetroStar Talent Challenge cabaret competition.
Ellet and Cubeta (piano) were joined by Los Angeles-based musician Brian Ward on bass, as well as Robin MacMillan on drums.
Oregon Retirement Home Concert

The New York Holiday Choristers 2017

It was a wonderfully busy holiday season for the New York Choristers, kicking off for Emily at the Plaza Hotel on November 27th! She appeared with the group at several privates parties, as well as the Santa Parade in Bryant Park's Winter Village, Godiva in Rockefeller Center, and the Hermes flagship on the UES, among others.
